Admissions Process

Fort Peck Community College has an “open door” admissions policy. Anyone who is seventeen (17) years or older who can benefit from the College’s educational offerings and services will be admitted. FPCC does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, creed, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, gender or sexual orientation in the education programs which it delivers.

  1. Complete the FPCC Online Admission application.
  2. Complete Financial Aid Package
    • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) FAFSA
      • FPCC FAFSA School Code 016616
      • Contact Student Services for help (appointments by phone 406 768 6370 or email Student Services)
  3. Send all official transcripts including High School/GED/HISET/College/University to Admission Office
  4. Provide Placement test scores (used for academic assessment and to determine course placements)
    • ACT scores dated within the last three years or
    • SAT scores dated within the last three years or
    • Accuplacer scores dated within the last three years
  5. Provide valid Identification and if applicable the Tribal Verification Form

The admissions process typically takes 1 – 3 weeks, depending on the FPCC Admissions office receiving your required documentation. Upon completion of the online application, you will receive an email and letter with a list of the documents you need to submit. Applicants will also receive emails and letters every two weeks to identify missing requirements. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folders for correspondence from FPCC Admissions office.

 To be eligible for a Dual Credit/Early College enrollment course, the student must:

  •  be enrolled in a high school which has a current interlocal dual enrollment agreement with the higher education institution (to participate in dual enrollment opportunities, home‐schooled students may enroll through the school district in which they reside);
  •  be at least 16 years of age or a high school junior;
  • have successfully completed the required high school classes at that grade level and be on track for high school graduation within a four‐year construct and currently be in good standing academically.
  • meet the same requirements for admission that on‐campus students must meet, other than the high school diploma.
  •  Without exception, all dual enrollment students must meet the same prerequisites as on‐campus students for courses that require specific placement tests, scores, or prerequisite courses.
  • In order to participate in any dual enrollment course, the student must have approval signatures of a parent or guardian (if the student is not 18 years of age), a designated high school Principal, and/or a high school Counselor.

Non-degree seeking students must submit a completed application for admission, with an indication of non-degree seeking status.  Applications are processed through the same standard procedure as degree-seeking students.
