Admissions Process
Fort Peck Community College has an “open door” admissions policy. Anyone who is seventeen (17) years or older who can benefit from the College’s educational offerings and services will be admitted. FPCC does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, creed, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, gender or sexual orientation in the education programs which it delivers.
New Students
Students that have never attended FPCC (Previous Dual Credit/Early College students who graduated from high school or obtained their GED, use the New student application)
- Complete the FPCC Online Admission application.
- Complete Financial Aid Package
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) FAFSA
- FPCC FAFSA School Code 016616
- Contact Student Services for help (appointments by phone 406 768 6370 or email Student Services)
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) FAFSA
- Send all official transcripts including High School/GED/HISET/College/University to Admission Office
- Complete Transcript request form: High School Transcript Request or DiplomaSender

- If you need your GED/HISET from a state other than MT, please contact that state’s office of education
- FPCC accepts electronic transcripts from the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment.
- All official transcripts that are mailed, must be sent to: FPCC Admissions, PO Box 398, Poplar, MT 59255

- Complete Transcript request form: High School Transcript Request or DiplomaSender
- Provide Placement test scores (used for academic assessment and to determine course placements)
- ACT scores dated within the last three years or
- SAT scores dated within the last three years or
- Accuplacer scores dated within the last three years
- The Accuplacer test is offered year-round at FPCC for students. Contact the Student Support Services Department @ 406-768-6346 to schedule an appointment.
- Provide valid Identification and if applicable the Tribal Verification Form
The admissions process typically takes 1 – 3 weeks, depending on the FPCC Admissions office receiving your required documentation. Upon completion of the online application, you will receive an email and letter with a list of the documents you need to submit. Applicants will also receive emails and letters every two weeks to identify missing requirements. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folders for correspondence from FPCC Admissions office.

Returning Students/Returning Non Degree Seeking Students
Your admission has already been granted, proceed to Registration steps.
Dual Credit/ Early College Students
Students who are currently attending High School
To be eligible for a Dual Credit/Early College enrollment course, the student must:
- be enrolled in a high school which has a current interlocal dual enrollment agreement with the higher education institution (to participate in dual enrollment opportunities, home‐schooled students may enroll through the school district in which they reside);
- be at least 16 years of age or a high school junior;
- have successfully completed the required high school classes at that grade level and be on track for high school graduation within a four‐year construct and currently be in good standing academically.
- meet the same requirements for admission that on‐campus students must meet, other than the high school diploma.
- Without exception, all dual enrollment students must meet the same prerequisites as on‐campus students for courses that require specific placement tests, scores, or prerequisite courses.
- In order to participate in any dual enrollment course, the student must have approval signatures of a parent or guardian (if the student is not 18 years of age), a designated high school Principal, and/or a high school Counselor.
- Complete the Dual Credit/Early College Application (please print out the form and get the appropriate signatures)
- Complete the Tribal Verification Form (IF APPLICABLE)

New Non-Degree Seeking Students
Students who wished to take undergraduate courses and do not want to pursue a degree at FPCC
Non-degree seeking students must submit a completed application for admission, with an indication of non-degree seeking status. Applications are processed through the same standard procedure as degree-seeking students.
